Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement of Service
By confirming a booking for an assessment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is formalized when you provide an electronic signature or your printed name on the booking form attached to our correspondence.
2. Professional Standards & Scope
-
Qualifications: All diagnostic assessments are conducted by Beth Collins, a suitably qualified Specialist Assessor.
-
Assessment Details: The service comprises a full battery of relevant diagnostic tests and a comprehensive written report. The fee covers the assessment as a single, complete package; individual components cannot be separated or priced individually.
-
Environment: To ensure accuracy and a distraction-free environment, only the student being assessed is permitted in the assessment room. Please discuss any special requirements or requests with Beth Collins prior to the assessment date.
3. Fees and Payments
-
Responsibility: The person booking the assessment is responsible for the full payment of fees as outlined in your booking email.
-
Third-Party Funding: If a company or third party is covering the cost, you must notify Beth Collins immediately upon returning the booking form.
-
Invoicing: Your signed booking form serves as your formal agreement and invoice. Should you require an additional receipt of payment, please let us know.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
-
Standard Cancellations: You have the right to cancel a booking up to 14 days before the assessment date. In these cases, a refund will be issued minus a £50 cancellation fee and the initial booking fee.
-
Short-Notice Bookings: If the assessment is scheduled to take place within 14 days of your booking date, you agree that the service commences upon the confirmation of the appointment. By proceeding, you acknowledge that the 14-day statutory cancellation period is waived, and the standard cancellation fee will apply if you cancel.
-
Assessor Cancellations: In the unlikely event that the assessor must cancel, we will offer an alternative date. If no suitable date can be found, you will receive a full refund.
5. Quality Assurance and Complaints
We strive for the highest professional standards. However, if you have a formal complaint that cannot be resolved directly with us, you have the right to contact PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties) using membership number: IF10516.
